Duo exhibition by Luisa Baldhuber and Stefan Holzmair
At the heart of the exhibition *I'LL SEE IT THROUGH THE CHERRY PIE* by Luisa Baldhuber and Stefan Holzmair lies the question of how reality is constructed in a world where images circulate constantly and lose their supposed unambiguity. In the works on display, reality presents itself as a fluid interplay between construction and projection. The title is a Dadaist collage, reassembled from quotations from the series *Twin Peaks*, and alludes to the surreal atmosphere of the exhibition.
In his collages and sculptures, Stefan Holzmair intervenes in existing orders. Through fragmentation and decontextualisation, he transforms visual content and spatial structures familiar to us into phantasmatic images in which reality and identity appear as an unstable construct riddled with fractures.
Luisa Baldhuber’s pictorial spaces, filtered through dichroic glass (a material that displays different colours depending on the incidence of light or viewing angle), are based on personal mobile phone photographs and oscillate between the digital visual realm, spatial construction and inner places of longing. Iridescent reflections and superimpositions open up visual dreamscapes in which perception becomes fluid and questions arise regarding the relationship between the inner and the outer, as well as between humans and the environment.
Exhibition opening: Sunday, 11 October 2026, 11 am – 7 pm, artist talk at 4 pm
Duration: 12 October 2026–10 January 2027
