On the occasion of the launch of the publication “Victoria Pidust. 118 IMAGES 80 PAGES” (designed by STUDIO Anne Büttner), the artist Victoria Pidust enters into conversation with curator Charlotte Knaup (Hamburger Bahnhof) to trace common themes and materialities in her work series.
From ‘soft image’ to the feeling of time across hybrid realities and spaces, Victoria Pidust will speak on what guides and moves her artistic practice.

Victoria Pidust is a lens-based artist and photographer, born in Nikopol, Ukraine, now living and working in Berlin. She studied Multimedia at the Institute of Printing and Publishing and Photography at NTUU KPI in Kyiv (2010-20114) and Visual Communication and Fine Arts and Painting at the Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin (2015-2021). She has shown work at Kunstmuseum Bonn in "Expect the Unexpected. Current Concepts of Photography’ (2023), at FUHRWERKSWAAGE, Cologne, Stiftung Neue Kunst Berlin- Brandenburg (2022) and Marburger Kunstverein (2021). Her most recent solo presentations include a Solo Booth Art Cologne New Positions (2022), Solo Booth in the Curiosa Sector at Paris Photo (2021) with the Gallery Judith Andreae and solo exhibition at Kunstverein kjubh (2021).
Charlotte Knaup is a curator at Hamburger Bahnhof - Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart. She previously curated and co-founded the London-based curatorial platform Please Queue Here and holds an MA in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art and a BA (hons) in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Amsterdam University College and The University of Hong Kong.
