The "expressive" with new signs
With Marco Schuler's solo exhibition New Works, we are setting a vital exclamation mark for our second gallery year and for the international art location of Munich. With this exhibition, we are committed to the city's painting and sculptural tradition, based explicitly on German Expressionism, in whose further developed, powerful visual language Schuler's work can be seen. This tradition needs to be expanded internationally. Works by the painter, sculptor and video artist from the Munich academy (Prof. Olaf Metzel), who now works in the tri-border area and LA/USA and has won art prizes, can be found in Munich museums such as Lenbachhaus and Pinakothek der Moderne.

Marco Schuler appropriates the gallery space on Ludwigstrasse with exuberant artistic vitality and almost 50 works. Childlike curiosity and impartiality, ingenuity and expressiveness, humor and playfulness, spirituality and creativity form the ingredients of Schuler's diverse creations. With a profound belief in images and a disciplined access to the subconscious, he creates such succinct, plastic expression modules. These products can be experienced directly. References to all human experiences and emotions are evident. This is how all sorts of characters act in Schuler's pictorial cosmos, astonished representatives of the miracle of life.
