The dream of a gallery⎮Bunte

Feb 17, 2023

The Bavarian cultural elite came in full force to the opening of the new Ludwig Space gallery in the city centre. This was mainly due to Dietlinde Behncke, who made her dream of having her own gallery come true. As a culture manager (e.g. for the Deutsche Guggenheim Museum) or as a journalist (e.g. ZDF capital city office), she built up a close-knit network in the art scene over many years - with diplomatic skills, assertiveness, a lot of knowledge and the right feeling for current issues and positions. At the start of her gallery, Behncke is showing works by the celebrated Viennese artist Judith Fegerl, which deal with the explosive topic of energy. You can see works made of solar cells or a sculpture that only stands as long as the electricity is flowing.
