"among neighbours"

Tuesday October 22nd, 2024, 7pm–9pm

At short notice, Peter Hansen has stepped in as my guest with the currently opening exhibition of his art initiative MAX 33. The MUNICH SPEECH® with Uta Grosenick, publisher (Berlin) has been postponed to spring 2025.

The conversation "UNTER NACHBARN" (among neighbours) is about the art-axis Residenzstrasse-Ludwigstrasse, about collecting, about discovering artists and, of course, about MAX 33.

Founded in October 2016 by Peter Hansen, MAX 33 promotes young contemporary art and artists. MAX 33 does this in particular by facilitating exhibitions for young artists, especially graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, and by supporting them in thinking commercially about their creative work. MAX 33 also strives to achieve this goal by cooperating with national and international museum support associations. MAX 33 is also committed to the promotion of cultural life in Munich and its dissemination beyond the city's borders, particularly in the field of the visual arts. MAX 33 has had an impressive and exciting journey from its founding to the present day.

The conversation will build a bridge to the current exhibition by Tamara K.E. and the monograph "fading song in the wide open", which will be published by DISTANZ Verlag in 2018. The internationally successful German-Georgian artist is currently showing her latest works in Paris at the Asia NOW Paris Art Fair.
