Dr. Klingsöhr-Leroy, director Franz Marc Museum Kochel, showed last year in the Franz Marc Museum (May 29 to October 3, 2022) under the title “Karin Kneffel. In the picture” more than thirty paintings by Karin Kneffel in the context of classical modern works, pictures by Kokoschka, Kandinsky, Macke and Kirchner, which one could rediscover in Kneffel's paintings. She writes about the exhibition: "At an academy exhibition, Elisa Breyer's and Janka Zöller's pictures caught my eye for the first time. They show an enchantingly beautiful, artificial, predominantly female universe in the style of selfies and magazine pictures, travel catalogs or cosmetic advertisements. Only at second glance do the artists' perfect, illusionistic painting style, their process of slow appropriation and reflection reveal this vision as a fragile illusory world."
