Fritz Can Poppenberg ‘In my artistic practice, I am interested in my own approach to old questions: about the ambivalence of feelings, about humanity, about the nature of animals and about what constitutes the vulnerability of life.’
Fritz Poppenberg, born 1991 in Berlin, Germany, studied classics at the University of Vienna and fine art at Weißensee School of Art, Berlin. Working across painting, drawing, and printmaking, the artist's frequent subjects are childhood and youth, memories and dreams, intimacy, faith, and the history of art. He lives and works in Berlin.
