Born 1989 in Katowice (Poland), lives and works in Berlin.
Aneta Kajzer has developed her very own approach to creating her paintings? What relationship can colour and thinner have with each other so that a visible image still emerges in the end? Kajzer applies paint and thinner to the canvas and observes the process of approximation and mixing. Sometimes she also shakes the paint off the canvas to see what sticks and what remains. This results in traces on the canvas that appear to have been traced. Small swirls of colour and condensations that create orientation on the canvas. The thinner creates streaks and colour gradients. Like drops of ink in water, they float over the pastel, blurred landscapes. If you could hear the colour, it would perhaps sound like Jane Birkin's emphatic breathing.
