Amélie Esterházy (*1982 Regensburg), lives and works in Berlin. Her work examines and questions universal notions of science and philosophy through symmetrical structures and their underlying algorithms. Esterházy's diverse practice includes sculptures, installations, works on paper, videos and drawing. In 2023, she participated in numerous national and international exhibitions. Including in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Art Biesenthal with a large-scale outdoor sculpture. In collaboration with the German-Israeli architect Zvi Hecker (1931-2023), she created her first 'Land Art' installation.
In February 2024, she will open her first solo presentation in Munich at behncke gallery.

Amélie Esterházy has been working as a visual artist since 2008. She has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, including: Rohkunstbau, Kolbe Museum Berlin, Alegra Ravizza Gallery Lugano, Jecza Gallery Timisoara, Gallery Volker Diehl Berlin, Porthmeor Studios St. Ives, CCA Andratx, OPHEIM Wroclaw and others.
In addition to participating in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Berlin and internationally, she has received a scholarship from the Wilhelmina Barns Graham Trust at Porthmeore Studios/ St. Ives, England, UK with the Turner Prize winner Veronica Ryan, as well as the Al Balad Residency of the Ministry of Culture in Saudi Arabia.
In Berlin, she runs the project space "OPEN Berlin" (www.open-berlin.net) and has curated numerous exhibitions there with artists such as Alicja Kwade, Katharina Sieverding, Gregor Hildebrandt and many more.
